The Rescue Story: It Started with a “Gap”
Rescue Plumbing wasn’t founded by a corporation; it was founded by a plumber who was tired of the status quo.
In 2018, Benjamin Vance, a lifelong Chicagoan, noticed a frustrating trend in the industry: homeowners were waiting days for “emergency” service, getting hit with hidden fees, and dealing with technicians who didn’t care about their property.
Ben saw a gap in the market for a customer-centric, truly 24/7 plumbing service. He launched Rescue Plumbing in Lincoln Park with just three plumbers, one office manager, and a simple promise: “We show up when you need us, and we fix it right.”

Meet the Founder: Benjamin Vance
Redefining the Chicago Plumbing Experience
In 2018, Benjamin Vance looked at the plumbing landscape in Chicago and saw a major disconnect. Homeowners were dealing with ’emergency’ services that made them wait days, hidden fees that appeared only after the work was done, and a general lack of transparency. Ben founded Rescue Plumbing to shatter that status quo.
He didn’t just want to build a company; he wanted to build a responsive force. His vision was simple but radical: a plumbing team that actually answers the phone at 2 AM, arrives when they say they will, and treats every client’s home with the same respect they would their own. Under Ben’s leadership, Rescue Plumbing has grown from a three-man operation into Chicago’s most trusted rapid-response team.
Deep Roots in Chicagoland’s Infrastructure
As a lifelong Chicago resident, Ben understands that our city’s plumbing is as unique as its architecture. From the vintage lead pipes in historic Lincoln Park greystones to the complex overhead sewer systems required in North Shore basements, Ben knows that a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach doesn’t work here.
Ben has dedicated his career to mastering the intricacies of Chicago’s specific building codes and infrastructure challenges. He instills this technical expertise in every apprentice and licensed plumber who joins the Rescue team. Community Roots
Became proud members of both the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce and the Wilmette/Kenilworth Chamber of Commerce. Sponsored Oscar Myers Elementary School’s walkathon.

10 Rescue Trucks en Route! The Fleet Expands
Today, we have 9 incredible office staff members, 9 hardworking plumbers, 9 apprentice plumbers, and 2 excavation specialists! We were also named a 2023 Nextdoor’s Neighborhood Fave!
