At 7 a.m., one of our plumbers was responding to a flooding emergency. When his apprentice went to grab a part from the van, they spotted four individuals breaking in. Startled, the thieves fled, but the message was clear—we were being watched.

We had tracking devices on all our major tools and equipment. By working together with the Chicago Police Department, we discovered that these thefts weren’t random—they were part of an organized crime ring. Crews were stealing equipment in Chicago, then moving it across state lines to Michigan and Texas.
The thieves even broke into our office four separate times, forcing us to temporarily move our operations to 6315 N. Milwaukee, right by Superdawg, while the police built their case.

Even while battling these setbacks, we stayed true to our mission of being a trusted Chicago plumber near you. To adapt, we repurposed our business space and partnered with Rescue Marketing to host an internship program with DePaul University students. Their energy and creativity brought new life into our marketing efforts and helped us keep our name strong in the Chicago plumbing community.
